Kanaka Kitchen: Where Food, Language, and Aloha Come Alive
Join us for Kanaka Kitchen, a 3-hour cultural experience designed for a small gathering of 15–20 participants (ages 10+), where we cook, speak Hawaiian, laugh, and learn together—no prior Hawaiian language experience needed.
From the moment you arrive, you are not just a participant—you are part of the ʻohana. Guided by bilingual Kanaka Culinary Experts, you will prepare an ʻono four-course meal using Hawaiʻi-sourced ingredients, including beloved Hawaiian staples rooted in our ʻāina. But this is not about following recipes. It is about reconnecting.
Whether you are an experienced cook or stepping into the kitchen for the first time, Kanaka Kitchen meets you where you are. Through hands-on guidance, storytelling, and shared meals, we ignite a deeper ʻono—not just for delicious food, but for our native ingredients, our language, and the joy of preparing meals at home with intention and connection.
